What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the “awareness that emerges by paying attention, on purpose, non-judgmentally to the present moment” – John Kabat-Zinn
Mindfulness is the practice of being ‘here and now’, fully present to whatever experience is taking place in one’s life. This includes the awareness of external events, as well as what is going on in one’s own mind, emotions and physical sensations.
The Mindfulness practice is based on principles of :
-Acceptance and letting-go
-Patience and trust
